01Access
- robots.txt lets AI crawlers inWe read your rules for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, the way they do.
- Your server answers AI crawlersWe knock as GPTBot and ClaudeBot. Firewalls often refuse them even when robots.txt says yes.
- An llms.txt summaryA plain-text brief of who you serve and what you sell, written for language models.
02Understanding
- Who you areOrganization markup: your name, logo, locations and profiles, so assistants don’t guess.
- What you offerService, Product and Offer markup, ideally with prices.
- Buyer questions answeredFAQPage markup for the questions people ask before they call.
03Content
- Prices you can quoteAssistants answer “how much?”. Without a number on the page, they skip you or guess.
- A clear title and descriptionThe one-line summary most assistants lean on first.
- A headline that names the offerAn H1 a stranger would understand without the design around it.
- Readable without JavaScriptMany AI crawlers don’t run scripts. If your copy only appears after they run, they see a blank page.
Good questions
Is this what ChatGPT says about me?
No. This test checks whether assistants can reach and read your site. What they actually say, and who they recommend instead, is what the paid Answer Engine Audit measures.
Why does it say “blocked” or “not checked”?
Some firewalls show automated visitors a challenge page instead of your site. We report that as a finding, and we don’t score checks we couldn’t verify. If you allowlist verified AI crawlers, they may still get in, so treat a block as “worth checking”.
What do you store?
Nothing, unless you ask us to email the report. We read your public homepage, robots.txt and llms.txt once, like any visitor.
